    What is oil vapor adsorption?

Oil vapor is “condensed“, gaseous compressor oil, which develops primarily under high temperatures during compression processes. Furthermore, oil vapors are hydrocarbons that are sucked from ambient air by the compressor, fumigated by the gearing mechanism or developed in the compressed air system due to vaporization.

Oil vapor is the second largest vapor phase in compressed air and possesses, apart from moisture, a high potential for condensation – in case of oil vapor it is the condensation to liquid oil.

Activated carbon oil vapor adsorbers bind oil vapor to activated carbon and reduce therefore the oil vapor content in compressed air to minimal residual values. In addition, activated carbon oil vapor adsorbers remove a variety of other hydrocarbons, odors and flavors.

Activated Carbon Oil Vapor Adsorbers

FST offers an almost unlimited product portfolio for activated carbon oil vapor adsorbers. Every activated carbon oil vapor adsorber is equipped as standard with an oil indicator.
